After 14 years on here I think I have finally figured it out. Someone described it perfectly as a site full of “broken” people and that is as near the mark as anyone is likely to get. Broken people who have no hesitation in breaking others as they go about their daily routine. The genuine people are few and far between and if not careful they end up broken too.
Will stay here for the sake of that small number of people I see as friends but my respect for so many is way beyond tarnished.
Will use this site as it has used me with the occasional poetry submission for cathartic purposes - MY purposes and mine alone.
. To those who have supported and encouraged me over the years a massive thank you. To those who have feigned friendship let’s hope there is Karma. To those with fake profiles and false dreams then good luck. There are plenty of others out there whose minds you can fuck up instead of mine.
Every day I realise that there are people on here I would trust with my life. Pity they are in such short supply but hope springs eternal. But I also realise this is not the place for the naive or anyone who wears their heart on their sleeve. The vampires come at night often feigning friendship but seeking to suck you dry if you let them.
