Click hereIn many erotic stories, describing boobs is a matter of some importance. While science defines them as secondary sexual characteristics, they're the more conspicuous ones of biological women.
Some breasts shape demurely clad upper bodies, some lurk in revealing necklines. Not only bare boobs catch the eye and turn the viewer on. They shape the appearance of their owners and sometimes their self-confidence (for the better or for the worse).
They're less detailed than the primary sexual characteristics. While the visible parts of the vulva include the mons veneris, the outer and the inner lips, and the hood and the glans of the clit, boobs only have nipples and areolas.
Vernacular, science, lovers, and the porn industry have coined countless words for them. Writers have come up with wonderful ideas for describing them vividly, using gentle hints or drastic language, poetic or explicit words, depending on the context.
Some focus on size and indicate in figures and letters what cups they fit if the lady's wearing a bra. There seem to be readers who find this annoying while numbers people seem to get off on it. It's descriptive for those who are familiar with bra sizes in whatever part of the world the story's set (Here's a guide: 26DD-vs-36B).
I don't want to criticize anyone's approach. There's just another way to describe the girls reasonably vividly in a few words, or a source of inspiration for more variety in your stories. Tell us more about your wife or your girlfriend (or yourself), strive for giving the heroine of your fantasies the looks of a woman of flesh and blood (unless you're satirizing or exaggerating for some reason).
Boobs are almost as unique as the women behind them. They can be round or conical, slender or pointed, teardrop-shaped or bell-shaped, close-set or side-set.
I did a bit of research on the web because I wasn't sure whether my sexual experiences would meet encyclopaedic standards. Most health guides identify between seven and twelve different types of shapes.
Many women have asymmetric breasts. One boob is larger than the other or of a slightly different shape, ranging from barely noticeable to more pronounced. It's also possible that the nipples and areolas differ in size, shape, or color. Asymmetric breasts occur with any of the types mentioned below. Women in question may have to pad one of the cups but there's nothing wrong with an unevenness. A little imperfection may win your heart and look all the sexier.
The term 'round breasts' ist self-explanatory. The boobs are circular when viewed from the front, and equally full at the top and bottom. Round breasts are often, but not always, the result of surgical enhancement or reconstruction.
Let's continue with two types for lovers of larger hooters. There's no need to be sad about teardrop-shaped breasts. They resemble round ones with the difference that they're less full at the top and fuller at the bottom. Women with teardrops typically have larger boobs, though this isn't necessarily the case.
Bell-shaped breasts differ slightly from the teardrop shape. They are thinner at the top, more triangular, and fuller and rounder at the bottom. This shape is characteristic of women with larger cup sizes. Bell-shaped boobs are unlikely to be perfectly symmetrical.
In stark contrast to this, in terms of size and firmness, female athletes and fitness enthusiasts may have developed athletic breasts. These boobs are more muscular and consist of less fatty and connective tissue. They appear wide and flat rather than full and round.
Small perky breasts sit higher on the chest. They appear firm and have little tendency to sag.
Pointed breasts have a pronounced, projecting shape in the nipple area. This natural anatomical variation can occur in varying sizes, usually in smaller boobs.
Slender breasts are slightly longer than wide and typically smaller in size. The nipples point downwards.
Conical or tubular breasts have a narrow, cylindrical shape. The nipples point outwards and sometimes protrude. Due to hormonal imbalances or genetic predisposition, there's an underdevelopment off breast tissue during puberty. Though there's no medical concern, this deformation may cause emotional distress and affect self-esteem, leading women to consider breast surgery.
The expression 'relaxed breasts' sounds like a textbook example of a ridiculous euphemism. It's like calling an exhausted athlete relaxed. There's no need to be ashamed of saggy boobs. They have loose or thin tissue and are longer in shape. The nipples point downwards.
There's only a narrow gap between the tissue of close-set breasts, whereas side-set or wide-set boobs are positioned further apart.
Last but not least, there's another whim of nature. These breasts have a gentle slope from top to bottom with the nipples not pointing forward but outwards in opposite directions. This shape's named East West, with a wink.
There are smooth transitions between all these types. The shape of the boobs may change in the course of a lifetime, for example due to breastfeeding or sagging of the tissue. Different breast shapes may be more comfortable--or look better--in fitting types of bras, like bralettes, balconette bras, push-up bras, and a good many others.
The variety of breast shapes is natural and welcome. In my opinion, all boobs are lovely in their own way. Most women who embrace their body look sexy. True beauty comes from within, after all.
